About heavy metals like arsenic, lead, cadmium, or mercury
The FDA’s Closer to Zero program for monitoring and reducing exposure to toxic elements in foods consumed by infants and young children lays out limits for heavy metals like arsenic, lead, cadmium, and marcury. Most heavy metals enter food either from water using in manufacturing, or from the soil in which plants are grown. We use independent third-party labs to test our products and ingredients to ensure that our products are below the current and proposed action limits for heavy metals.
